We are staying at King's conference Centre, here in Bujumbura, Burundi. This was founded by a good friend of ours, Simon Guilebaud. He has written a number of books based on his travels and experiences here in Burundi. Although he no longer owns this Conference Centre, the staff here continues to follow the model that was established years ago.

That is it for this morning. We awaiting breakfast to be set up downstairs and then we head to Kibuye. We leave Lake Tanganyika at about 2,500' elevation and cross some mountains at around 7,000' feet before going down into the Kibuye area which is at about 5,200 feet. I will post again tonight.
